Joseph and Lena Martinez founded Anchor of Hope Ministries in 2015 when the Lord called them into the homeless encampments of Orange County, CA. During that time they witnessed the power of God and the power of their “yes.” Their ministry reached beyond the streets, pursuing the unreachable with a message of hope and the love of Jesus.

In 2017, the Lord called the Martinez family to leave everything behind and hit the road in their motorhome, praying for their next assignment. This is where their mobile ministry, Destination Disciples, began. Covering over 42 states, they continued their journey to reach others, sharing a message of hope and the love of Jesus with everyone they encounter. The Martinez Family continues to travel in their RV praying to encounter others to share their love for Jesus and message of hope.

In 2018, after a year of seeking the Lord for direction, they arrived in a small town in Georgia where they began to fulfill the assignment God had given them to open up a host home for ministry students. After four years of hosting, they opened their home to women seeking the Lord for their next. This home currently houses up to eight women in Gainesville, GA.

In 2022, the Martinez Family relocated to Las Vegas, NV, where they continue to open their home to traveling evangelists, ministry leaders.

In September 2026, this home will house up to 4 women who are seeking the Lord for their next. Our prayer and mission for this home is to provide an affordable place where Women in ministry can fulfill the plans the Lord has for them.

For over 20 years, Lena has mentored women in her career as an Operations Mortgage Executive and Ministry Founder, her passion is to encourage others to step into what God has called them to do.
